Newburyport is 35 miles north of Boston and 22 miles south of Portsmouth.
Train
The MBTA Commuter Rail provides train service from Boston’s North Station to Newburyport on a daily basis. Downtown Newburyport is a short one-mile walk from the train station. There is also taxi service available from the train station.
Once you have arrived walk along the popular Clipper City Rail Trail to downtown.
Car
FROM ROUTE 95: Take Exit 57 East and follow signs to downtown Newburyport.
FROM BOSTON: Take Route 1 North to Route 95 north to Exit 57 East. Follow signs to downtown Newburyport.
FROM ROUTE 495: Follow to Route 95, then South to Exit 57 East. Follow signs to downtown Newburyport.
PARKING: There is time-limited street parking and several paid parking lots in Newburyport. Parking Lot Map
Bus
C&J Trailways has daily service from Boston’s South Station, Logan Airport, to nearby Seabrook, NH. Taxi and or ride sharing services are available to Newburyport.
